We Are All Pilgrims

About the Work
The concept for the mural was to visually represent the people who use the space. In this instance, the space is a cafeteria in the newly-acquired Rochester House building, the home of the Visual Communications department at UCA Canterbury.
The space was previously cold, stark and uninspiring. We worked together and found a visual solution to those problems that aimed to represent the parallel journeys we all had within creative education. Here, location was significant to us, but we had a lot of overlapping themes within our stories, too.
We then developed keywords that were the essence of the educational and creative journeys of the collaborators, and worked on visualising these in a way that represents our diversity of cultures and disciplines.
Installation was carried out by a small group, using our printed design and wallpaper paste.
