The Benefits of Intentional Living
This project explores what is truly important to myself. It shows the benefits of living intentionally. It celebrates what is important to me, my habits, how I spend my time and highlights the bonuses of living the kind of lifestyle I have chosen through intentional decision making.

It began as a series of editorial illustrations, and developed into a series of proposed illustrations by category for a narrative publication.

Inspiration & Context
This project came as a response to a dissertation I completed for my degree that explored the history of activism using stitched typography. My research explored the subversion of purpose of stitching from a means of restricting women in society with gender roles and domesticity, to their use of these skills within activism, often conveying their message in a noticeable and aesthetically pleasing way.

From this I returned to a previous project's theme and wanted to focus on the benefits of living 'intentionally' i.e. in a way that you want to, making decisions based on your own hobbies, interests, aspirations and goals - not those of people or society that surrounds you, and their often outdated expectations of what women should aspire to be.
